From our earliest civilizations humans have produced rhythmic sounds that set the stage for modern singing. We sing for celebration, to share culture and express emotional states.
Singing possibly even predates spoken language, maybe even art.
This simple drawing of two women could have many other meanings and all depends on the viewer, their own experiences and how much time they spend on it thinking of possiblities.
I had one artist friend say she saw them as the same person that screamed so loud, that they left her body and became two people.
This is what I love about art. This simple image of two women with open mouths could be debated for a decade.
