"This piece is part of a mini-series of experimental pieces I did exploring pareidolia...which is the psychological phenomenon of perceiving recognizable patterns, such as faces or shapes, in random or ambiguous data.  I strayed pretty far from my normal style of painting to experiment during this series and dive into a darker place where nature takes over and I dig deeper into my own psyche.  It was a rough winter...haha!" - Erin Thomas
