Slow down. And be. In the. Moment. I wanted to express what it feels like when the world slows for a split second and we are able to bask in the wonderment of life. The tall, looming giraffe represents a larger than life moment in nature (something we don't encounter in our everyday busy lifestyles) The reflective spiritual self of the human who is trying to soak in this once in a lifetime moment of bonding with nature amidst the city. I chose dusk in the city at the setting, in the quiet space between hustle and bustle of work and nightlife, but still the man made influence has taken over the landscape.... a place where the large giraffe obviously does not fit in comfortably.
